Three Things Thursday: 4 April 2019

aka: The Closing Out the Week and Emptying My Brain Edition

  1. Writing about myself doesn’t come naturally to me. I want to edit the text down to nothing and which is one of the reasons I picked writing as my #the100dayproject “art.” I’m a doer. A planner. A person that takes apart systems or processes, refines them and then puts them back together more efficiently. I’m not a sharer, and while I sometimes awkwardly overshare in person if I haven’t had adult conversations in a while, I rarely publish anything online that I wouldn’t want to talk about in a job interview or annual employment review.
  2. In advance of our move, we’re getting rid of the last vestiges of “baby” in our home. I finally listed all of the cloth diapers and related accouterment for sale in two Facebook groups today. It was liberating, and yet I still mourned doing so. We’re finished having babies. My youngest never wore cloth diapers and my eldest was in disposables after age two. Inertia kept me from selling sooner, but there’s no need to ship them back to the U.S.
  3. Spring is springing in Doha. It’s raining tonight (#thunderstormsinDoha) and the humidity was high today. Less than 60 days before wheels up…
