A good many years ago, I spent a Saturday afternoon with a group a people in Manhattan including a well-known tech-related guy, who was a friend of a friend. He had this fabulous watch that interfaced with his phone and I tucked the knowledge into my brain and occasionally reminded myself that I needed to check it out.
Fast forward to June 2016 when the #Kid was super mobile, I wanted a new watch, had fallen out of love with my Fitbit, and I needed to put the phone down to chase the #Kid. I bought my first Pebble and LOVED IT. I backed their second Kickstarter to get my second one (cue sad trombones) and if you’ve kept up with the news in the wearable tech world, you know that the money was returned and Pebble was purchased by Fitbit. That said, I loved my Pebble so much that I bought a second one at deep discount from Amazon so that I can have two.
If Pebble were still in operation, I’d go on and on about features. Instead, I’ll just patiently wait for Fitbit to integrate the Pebble software (but why didn’t they buy the hardware too!!! It’s heaps better than anything Fitbit is producing right now!!!) and hope my two Pebble watches don’t die anytime soon.
