2016 Goals

Again, goals, not resolutions (h/t @gazellesoncrack). My posting will likely be even more sporadic in 2016 than 2015, but I’m going to try, because goals…

  1. Keep moving my body as much as I am able for #Bebe2 and #Kid because #health
  2. Embrace the life changes that are headed my way this year with the addition of #Bebe2, a long trip back to the US to visit family in (Northern Hemisphere) summer, and another overseas posting for a bit after that — if I can’t bend, I’ll break…
  3. Learn to better accept help from others because I am horrible at this and I can’t be superwoman

And that’s it. 2016 doesn’t need to be too rigid. Lots going on here and I don’t need the stress of too much more…

July – December 2015 Recap: Life & Goals

So, I fell off the face of (blogging) Earth. July went a little haywire and here we are on 31 December and I’m trying to figure out where the last six months went. Instead of breaking this down into a “Life” and “Goals” section, I’m just going to summarize (via bullets) what’s been going on with me. I’ll go ahead and say upfront that SUP-ing isn’t happening (I sold my board), meditation is a no-go (need to restart this ASAP), and me-time happened when it could, but not always consistently. Bring on 2016!!

Day Three

We’re on day three of “one nap a day.” The weekend went well since husband was home and we could tag team the kid. Today was my first solo day. It’s only 3:45 PM, but I’d consider it a (relative) success. Kid and I had an appointment at mid morning and then met husband for lunch, so we were out of the house by 10 AM and didn’t get back home until just after noon. Unfortunately, he fell asleep in the car on the way home (#supertired) and fought the nap I tried to get him to take immediately after our arrival. Instead, we had a snack and some quiet play time and by ~2:30 PM (after some vehement protesting), he went to sleep. Yay!

Tomorrow’s goal will be to get him to nap earlier, say around lunchtime. Wish me luck…
