Passing of Time

Reims ClockI can’t believe today is October 23. Where did the last month go?!? As I sit and reflect on what I’ve done (mourning Lucky, working (full-time job and contract work), traveling (to Atlanta and to Nashville), working on three school deliverables (two surveys and an individual assignment), allergy testing, and starting back at the gym/running), I’m amazed (and not for the first time in my life) about our ability to adapt and roll with it.

Husband and I’ve declared that during the remainder of 2011 and for 2012, we’re going to seize new opportunities and try new things. We want to start a family (eventually), but have acted like an old married couple (not that there’s anything wrong with that) for years. It’s time to go out a little more, sleep a little less, and get ready for a long stretch of time when caring for a small child will cause us to lose sleep for an entirely different reason.

But before that child comes, there are other things I want to do too. I want to be in the best shape of my life. I want to finish school–I’m on track for a May 2012 graduation. I want to figure out some career/job goals/situation. Having fun whilst working on these items is my goal for the next 18 months or so. Join me on that journey.
